Who: Elena and Reeve
When: Whilst the prepping is going on
Location: Gongaga - Infirmary
Rating: PG?
Summary: Coffee and TV... or at least, a laptop with files. Or something.
Reeve decides to pay another Turk a visit. Because this is way overdue and I don't know where Reeve's brain is atm.
(
So give me Coffee & TV, history. I've seen so much that I'm going blind and I'm braindead virtually. Sociability, is hard enough for me. )
Conversing with the Commissioner - with Reeve - was easier than it was with other executives of ShinRa. Less pompous and arrogant - though at times equally stubborn - there was something more freeing and (oh, how could Elena put it?) lively. There was no need to act rough and harsh and mean, as one did in the case of the infamous Ms. West. Then again, Scarlett was one soley focused on the death and destruction of things. Reeve, on the other hand, was focused on life and growth.
"Having you come is a treat in and of itself. To have you come by with real coffee, well, that's icing on the cake."
So that is what he'd brought in with him. She'd been curious about the flask. The aroma of a good bean wafting through the room on the faint steamy trails it released had teased her nose and - had he had offered her none - could have broken her little caffeine-loving heart.
"Mmm?"
There was that flush of embarrassment creeping in again. Her hands moved to the sides of the book, tilting it up slightly. The reason she'd grabbed it was because, in silent honesty, the cat on the cover reminded her of a certain scottish-accented animatronic - minus the crown and cape - and she'd been curious as to the actual story. Releasing her grip of the book, she let it rest again in her lap.
"Is that so?," her question genuine and without sarcasm. "Then it should be good. I've actually never read the whole thing before and now I've seem to have plenty of time to." Elena gave a little laugh, leaning forward slightly, her face inquisitive and curious. "Fictional, hmm? Then what was - or is - your favorite non-fiction book?"
