I guess that party was getting boring, anyway...

Who: Victoria, Veld, Tseng later
When: During the big party.
Location: Hospital in Junon
Rating: PG?
Summary: Victoria gets dragged away from the party by some bad news.

The text message was a cryptic one, nothing more than a few numbers and letters. It wouldn't have made sense to most people, but the Turks got the message loud and clear. Man down, hospitalized. Victoria was at the party, standing by one of the snack tables when she received the message, and for a moment she merely gave it a quizzical look. Who would it--

Tseng.

Tseng wasn't at the party. She didn't even know where he'd planned to be instead. Something else to attend to, he'd said. Something that had landed him in the hospital. Something that he probably should have had backup for but kept all to himself instead. Otherwise, he would have told her what he was doing, right?

"Idiot," she muttered at the phone, then shoved it back into her pocket. Immediately deciding to head to the hospital, she paused only briefly as she walked by Rude to tell him she was leaving the party. She wanted to at least let someone know what she was doing. ...unlike some people.

On her way there, though, she wondered if she might be jumping to conclusions. The message hadn't said it was Tseng. And even then, Veld sent the message. They could have been together when... whatever happened. Well, whatever the case was, it didn't change the fact that she was worried. She would know soon enough.

She was, in fact, in enough of a hurry to get into the hospital and find Tseng that she very nearly crashed into Veld as he was leaving. She stopped abruptly, if not entirely gracefully, and looked at him from about one step away.

"What happened?" she asked. Her tone was unusually serious and both it and the look on her face demanded answers.
