Rude was a little surprised the first time Yuffie had decided she wanted to use him as a pillow. He hadn't actually had much of an opportunity to say no; she must have been really tired that night because she had been out cold within seconds of flopping over on him. He'd watched her for a minute, then decided there wasn't a point in waking her. Apparently this gave her license to sleep that way every night since.

Truth be told, he didn't really mind. He was used to it by now, and it was comfortable enough. Actually, at this moment he found himself idly playing with her hair. Hey, if she got to take liberties, so did he.

Yuffie groaned and curled a little closer to Rude. She wrapped an arm about him and snugged closer. It was nice and she was warm. This was better than stupid dreams about feathers and Alexandrian gods.

"You smell like sand." She muttered in her sleep.

Rude chuckled quietly at the comment. Staring up at the sky, he idly wondered whether smelling like sand was a good thing or a bad thing.

But suddenly his thoughts were broken by a distant sound of--no, he had to be imagining things. Was he hearing a helicopter?

[ooc: Cue someone to rescue them.]

Forgive the fail, planning a painting project

Cissnei was at the controls of the helicopter, looking carefully out at the skies surrounding them. One hand pushed her headphones to a more comfortable position on her head while the other gripped the controls. It was then that she noticed smoke and more importantly, a fire burning steadily on an island below.

Certainly it could be anyone, maybe campers but Cissnei circled the island anyway until she could get low enough, safely, to make out two figures laying on the beach. At this height, it was difficult to make them out but she recognized the figures of Yuffie and Rude well enough to motion at the other occupants in the chopper, and towards the pair below.

Yuffie curled up tighter against Rude's chest. "You snore like a gawddamn helicopter." She muttered and pulled at Rude's arm to cover her head. "I just want a few more minutes." She groaned when the chopper failed to become silent and slowly woke up.

It was then she realized that they were going to have beds soon. She shot up. "Oh god, I love you Turkies!" it was then that she hugged Rude tightly and, without thinking, she planted a kiss on Rude's cheek.

As the helicopter drew closer, he couldn't deny that that was exactly what he was hearing. He wasn't sure exactly what to make of Yuffie accusing him of producing that sound, but it was soon forgotten as she woke up and realized that it was a helicopter--and it was coming closer.

When she kissed his cheek, he froze for a second and blinked at her. Then he shook his head as if to clear the surprised look from his face, grabbed his sunglasses (he might take them off to sleep, but they were never far away), and stood up, waving an arm to catch the attention of whoever was in the helicopter. By then, he could see it approaching, and it only made him wave more enthusiastically. They were going to be rescued. They were actually going to be rescued.

Cissnei made a motion from her spot in the helicopter, hoping the could see it before going up and finding a clear spot to land. Once she found a clear enough area, Cissnei brought the chopper down and checked over everything. She made sure that there was enough fuel to get up in the air and back home, where they could make sure Yuffie and Rude got checked out.

Cissy pulled the headset off and jumped out of the helicopter before making her way toward the pair of them. They looked healthy enough for a month on an island and away from civilization.

"You two alright? No life threatening injuries?" Cissnei asked, glancing them over.

Yuffie flung herself into Cissnei's arms and hugged the other woman tightly. "You beautiful wonderful sexy Turkey you!!" Had Yuffie been taller, she would have picked poor Cissnei up and swung her about. "GAWD, we're fine, just... I need a shower."

She looked over her shoulder and smiled at Rude. "I had excellent company, so it wasn't all bad." Yuffie put a hand on her hip and nodded to Cissnei before she put a finger in the air and winked. "Maybe I showed him a few things."

Of course that was a lie, but then again, this was Yuffie they were talking to.

Rude gave Yuffie an incredulous look at that last comment, but didn't say anything. His attention quickly focused back on Cissnei. The newly arrived Turk already had Yuffie attached to her, so he resisted the urge to reach out and touch her himself. It was just a little hard to wrap his mind about someone else actually being here after all that time.

"Yeah, we've been doing well." His lips curled into a wry smile. "Though I'll be glad not to see another coconut for a long time."

Cissnei had about two seconds to process Yuffie flinging herself at her. And another two seconds for it to register that she was being hugged but she smiled warmly and let her. They probably needed the contact after so long and she wasn't going to deny them anything right now.

"You shouldn't have to see a coconut for a very long time after this, don't worry." Cissnei said with a soft laugh

"I need a shower so, so bad, girl. You have no idea!" Yuffie was mildly concerned that Cissnei was now also a smelly ball of ick, but who cared, she was being rescued!

Yuffie bounded back over to Rude and brushed his shirt off absently. It felt like it had been forever, at least he was good company. "Let's go Rudey!"
