Siira had only 'heard' a little bit but from what little she gathered from several sources, Veld had been injured. She had no doubt he'd still be around after so long, the man had an air about him that screamed: Impossible to kill. At least, not without dying yourself in the process.

Still, when she had found out, Siira had, unwittingly, made her way to the hospital. She hadn't had a chance to change out of her suit, but Siira didn't mind to much. This is how Turks were recognized and she'd have less trouble visiting if people saw that.

When she finally found his room, she saw him sleeping. The dark haired woman wasn't about to wake him up, so instead she took a seat and found a pen and paper, scribbling out a note.

Came by to visit you, but you were asleep. Heard you got banged up pretty bad Hope you're feeling better than whoever sent you here. than you were. Get well, 'kay?
Siira

Not exactly 'heartfelt' but it was something. She was sure Veld had plenty of other visitors to talk with. It was a shame she wouldn't get to talk with him herself though, but they would eventually. He wouldn't be in the hospital long after all.

Veld opened his eyes at the sound of the pencil going down. He could see the hair, but maybe he didn't catch her. Still, in case she was within range, Veld spoke up. "Siira?"

So Tseng did put out the call. It wasn't a surprise that she was here.

Siira froze for a moment before looking up and smiling gently. Had she woken him up? Siira had tried to be quiet about it. She quickly got up and walked next to the bed.

"That's my name." She grinned but she stayed serious. "How're you feeling? Heard you got banged up pretty bad."

Veld wasn't the soundest sleeper, this much was certain. Obviously, Tseng had made the call and he wasn't just dreaming it. "I've been worse, been better."

He looked her over and smirked. It wasn't that Veld didn't expect the old Turk to return. Siira was always training, she was continually trying to better herself. This was going to be another test and he was glad to see her step up to it.

"I see that Tseng called you all in." He sat up, wondering how many times he was going to force himself to move when he really should be sleeping. "How have you been?"

"Pretty good. Victoria, Alex and myself have a business going in Junon. Though, I did get pretty worried when I heard that you of all people ended up here." Siira made a slight face when he pushed himself upwards.

"You don't have to get up on my account." She added as she watched him. Even in the hospital he still looked like the same Veld that had recruited her and the same Veld that could get a threat across to someone without actually making the threat.

"Eh, you know me I never could keep my mouth shut when I get going." Veld shrugged. "Remnant jumped me, the one called Kadaj."

He looked Siira over and smiled at her. She looked good. He had expected nothing less. Still with all of that ridiculously long hair. Despite Veld's requests she cut it, Siira had refused and, to her credit, it never once got in the way.

"I'm leaving here tomorrow. I've had quite enough of this." Unwise as that was, Veld didn't want to remain in a hospital bed.

No one ever could get Siira to cut her hair, Veld was by far no exception to that. There were times she's trim it, but it was rarely something noticeable. Long hair was just something that suited Siira. Maybe some day she'd cut it drastically, just to see the faces of everyone around her.

"Do you think they'll let you go? Not like anyone ever dared to tell you no." She gave him a wry smile. If Veld said he was going to do something, she never knew him not to hold up to what he said he'd do.

He snorted at the question. "Who said anything about letting me go. I will go when I feel like it. There's nothing they can do here that I can't do somewhere more comfortable that doesn't smell like disinfectant." It wasn't unusual for people like him to hate hospitals. He didn't like feeling put up in a sanitized area of holding. It felt like being on a shelf.

"I'll be checking myself out, and heaven help the poor fool who argues the matter." He meant that with every fiber of his being. A wounded Turk was possibly more dangerous than a healthy one, given the right circumstances.

"I think they'd need more than heaven's help. Just make sure you rest up. Know it's not my place but can't help but worry, you know?" Siira smiled a bit. Maybe she could stop by the next day and see how his leaving would turn out. At least he was alive, that's what mattered.

"If you want to relax, I can go. I'll probably be at the bar for a couple days unless something happens that needs immediate Turk intervention." She wasn't that intent on leaving, but she knew how important it was for Veld to rest. It was only to nice to see another familiar face after so many years.

"I'm too stubborn to die, Siira." Veld said matter-of-factly. He reclined back on the pillows then and sighed deeply. "But you are correct. I'm going to go back to sleep. I'll have someone check on you all tomorrow."

He wasn't going to say that he would send Valentine. Vincent didn't exactly work for or with the Turks anymore. Veld didn't want to promise anything from the gunman. However, Elfe would go if asked, Tseng most likely would extend him the courtesy. "I am going to have to rest though. Thank you for checking on me."

She looked good. Healthy and happy. This was comforting for Veld to know. He'd probably rest better now.
