Who: Tseng, Victoria, Siira, Alex (possibly Rufus?) When: After this Location: Junon Rating: PG-13 Summary: Tseng meets up with the currently retired Turks in Junon.
Alex had caught the phone call but since Victoria was already phoning Tseng back, she waited and got the information from her before they headed to the landing pad. It felt odd to be called back to duty. She paused when she caught sight of Siira before moving to join the other woman, shielding her eyes briefly as she looked up at the sky for any sign of a helicopter.
"Did he give you any details?" Alex had never taken to casual clothing, preferring the clean lines of a business suit, although she relented a little in summer and wore skirts more than pants.
Victoria was dressed for the weather, in a short-sleeved blouse, mid-length skirt, and open-toed shoes. While she didn't really mind business suits, she had scarcely ever worn one since her job had stopped requiring it. Though she would admit, it seemed a little odd to reply to what sounded like Turk business while dressed like that. Not that she was self-conscious about it or anything. It's not like any of them had really been expecting to be called in for anything having to do with the Turks after all this time.
Like Alex, she scanned the sky for a helicopter. At the question, she glanced toward Siira.
"All he told me was that he was coming and he'd tell us more when he gets here." Alex had already heard that, of course, but Siira hadn't so it didn't hurt to say it. Speaking of which, 'he' hadn't even really identified himself. She hoped assumed it was Tseng who had sent the messages (who else could it be, really?), but... Well, they'd see soon enough, she supposed.
"It's the same thing he told me." Siira said in reply as she looked towards the horizon, scanning the sky for a sign of the helicopter. With the three of them there, at least no one would have to wait to hear what was going on.
She took note that Victoria was dressed less formally than Alex and more formally than herself. At least they were all there, she couldn't see how it mattered if they weren't dressed like they had as Turks.
When the helicopter touched down, the former Turks that Tseng had contacted were already there. Rufus hopped down from the helicopter, Dark Nation following after him, and paused briefly at the sight of the three women. They were people he had previously not expected to ever see again, after all.
"Prompt, as always," he commented as he approached them, playing off any hint of surprise that had crossed his features as due to the fact that the three of them had beaten Tseng and himself to this place. "Thank you for coming." A typical pleasantry, though one meant perhaps more than it sounded.
Tseng was a few steps behind him and took in the three women before moving to Rufus's side. "Aleksandra, I want you to accompany the president inside while I talk to Victoria and Siira." The command was quiet and firm, his expression neutral.
"You three are being recalled to duty and that starts now."
Recalled to duty? That was rather quick and, idly, she wondered what they'd do about their current jobs but pushed it from her thoughts immediately. She straightened up and nodded towards Tseng.
"Understood. What's the situation?" It had to be something important if he was pulling Turks back into action after all this time.
It seemed funny to be called back so suddenly to a job that she had long since abandoned. Same as always, no real say in anything. But despite the time separation, she had signed her life away to that long ago. Besides, the fact that Shinra felt the need to drag her back in reeked of something huge going on, and that just sent a buzz of excitement down her spine. Even if it had been completely her choice, would she have said no to that? Probably not in a hundred years. She smiled slightly.
Once a Turk, always a Turk, huh? She was going to need a new suit.
"Yeah, what's going on?" she echoed, peering curiously at Tseng, and noting, idly, that he was as cute as she remembered. That was a nice thing, too.
Tseng watched the other two leave before his attention returned to the two women in front of him. "The current situation calls for more experienced personnel than we had on hand. Our headquarters in Gongaga was ..damaged last night and Sephiroth has escaped the lab we were holding him in. His whereabouts are unknown at the moment. We're setting up a base of operations here for the time being." Tseng paused for a moment before continuing.
"I'm going to send two of you to Gongaga to investigate and report anything you find back to me. The incident in question seems to have been caused deliberately to facilitate his release and there was an unconfirmed report of a Turk in the group he left with."
The name Sephiroth sent a slight shiver down Siira's spine but she suppressed it. She was more worried about him being back and free. That was definitely cause for pulling some Turks back in action, especially with the possibility that a Turk was with him when he escaped. With those two combined, she could only imagine what condition Gongaga must have found itself in overnight, and knew it couldn't be a pretty sight.
"If there's anything to find, I'm sure we'll find it." Siira said confidently. They'd need a bit of time to get ready to leave. Though that would take hardly any time. They may be out of practice working as Turks but, to her anyway, it felt like a second nature.
"Is there anything else we know about Sephiroth's companions?" That was an odd though, Sephiroth with a group of people. She knew very well of his attempt at destroying the Planet, who didn't after all so it was very hard to get the image of him in a group except for way back when she had first met Zack.
"Sephiroth..." she breathed at the mention of the Soldier-gone-wrong. That certainly was big. Along with the rest of the situation, it really was no surprise that they wanted to call in help. She nodded at Siira's confident reply. "You can count on us."
She waited for the answer to Siira's question. Even if there wasn't much information yet, maybe they would be able to find people in Gongaga who had seen something...
Hey, look at that, she was thinking like a Turk again, already.
"All the information I have is that he had three people with him, including the suspected Turk and they were all women, although this is also unconfirmed. At the moment, all I want is confirmation of the cause of the explosion and fire and who is with him." There might have been a faint tired edge to his voice.
"I wouldn't have recalled you, if I didn't feel it necessary."
"Understandable, we had a suspicion that something big had happened if you're calling us all back in." Siira noticed the edge to his voice. Hopefully he'd be able to get a bit of rest while he and Rufus were in Junon. She was fairly sure they'd both keep busy though, since they had to place a base here in Junon since the fire and explosion in Gongaga.
"Try not to overwork yourselves while we're gone." She said with a small smile.
"What she said," Vic chimed in. She'd noticed that tired note as well, and gave Tseng a pointed look along with her words. Though unless things had changed drastically, getting Tseng to rest was like pulling teeth. A half second later, she offered a small smile. "Whatever information's there to find, we'll find, so don't worry about it too much, hm?" She glanced at Siira, then back at Tseng.
"As soon as you can. This helicopter will take you and Aleksandra to Gongaga, Victoria. If you need some time to collect your weaponry, I'd suggest you do it quickly because the sooner you two leave, the sooner you'll be able to return. Siira, for now I'm going to ask you to stay here on guard duty unless something else comes up."
"Not a problem." Siira nodded. She didn't mind staying in Junon, preferred it actually, right now. Having noticed that Tseng seemed tired, she was worried he might overwork himself trying to set up a base in Junon. Two Turks in town were better than one that looked overworked. Regardless, she knew that Tseng was still a force to be reckoned with, they were all trained to be among the best, if not the best themselves.
Turning towards Victoria she gave a wide smile and a thumbs-up.
Victoria returned Siira's gesture with a grin of her own, then turned back to Tseng.
"I'll have to get some things from the bar, but other than that I can leave whenever." If they were splitting up that way, she wished Alex hadn't been sent off with Rufus. She could go back and pick up stuff for both of them, but she kind of wanted to check in with her partner first. "Should I go find Sandy...?"
