CHANGES...
Housing: We moved this weekend. Two trips with the truck alone and one with both the truck and the car and we have moved all the essential stuff to Tacoma. My many boxes are still living in the screen tent until I get things unpacked and they find their living space at the apartment. The cats are staying with my parents until next month when we have the pet deposit (500) that the complex charges.
SCA: As most of you know Idomeneus is the Enomotarch, aka Captian of the boat, for the Mrymidons up here in An Tir. What some may not have realized was that I had not been made a member of the group and that I am Resident/member of a household in Caid, The Inn of the Crimson Spade. At the beginning of July I was asked by the Hegemon of the Mrymidons if I wanted to become a member of the household of the warband. I choose not to go public with the invitation until it was made official. Last Wednesday the Hegemon posted to the group forum officially welcoming me to the Myrmidon Household. This is an exciting thing for me especially as we have just recently had two new fighters join the group and they come with women and children that I am helping find their way into the SCA. In Caid the Mrymidon's have built a great warband and household that helps and supports each other. I hope to do the same up here in An Tir. While at the moment I am the only Household member up here, thus making me the head of the local household by default, I am certain that this will change as the new ladies spend time with us. I hope to lead by example and encourage/insipre them in the pursuit of "The Dream".
Events: The plan had been to go to Autumn War this weekend. At this moment though it looks like my body needs a couple of days to rest. So we will stay home. Miss everyone greatly but get things more organized and I hope to get a little extra sleep so I don't feel so blurry at work.
