Just when I thought it was over...
Just when I thought my bad luck has come and gone, here comes another one and this one really got me in a panic. So while doing an anti-virus scan as usual, my computer picks up all this stuff and some stuff I would have to reboot to clean up. So doing the usual, I decided to just go ahead and reboot the computer... only now the computer won't even reboot Windows XP! _o_ Seriously... someone just shoot me. Really. Nothing I have done has worked to even get Windows to boot up. Luckily I'm such a computer nerd that I have a laptop as a backup. I'd die without a computer. I will have to make a 2 1/2 hour trip home after Otakon to see if I can get some sort of a recovery disc from my father to see if that can help solve the problem.
So what does that have to do with subbing. That darn computer is the computer for subbing _o_ all the files are on that one. If the computer can't even boot, obviously there's no way to use it. Just for everyone's information, I just got the RESCUE 9 quality check file back. However, this laptop has nothing associated with RESCUE. It will take some time for me to find the 1280 raw and re-download that, find all the necessary fonts, and possibly see if I can find some of the necessary files uploaded somewhere on my megaupload account. Right now it seriously does not look very good.
Here's the emergency battle plan for right now is a very critical time for the team. We are trying to finish RESCUE but without the right and necessary files as well as start a new drama. What I will do is sub Buzzer Beat on the laptop which will be no problem. I will try to finish that the day I get back from the convention. I will make an emergency trip up to Cleveland with my desktop computer for that disc to see if it can be recovered. More than likely, RESCUE will come out after the first ep of Buzzer Beat but in the same week... or I'm praying that it will be. Talk about bad luck. My computer is my baby, I built it piece by piece myself. To see it not even boot up... T_T But I just wanted to let everyone know of the situation because like I said in previous posts, I really want to finish up RESCUE before Buzzer Beat but because of this problem, yeah... pssh... so pissed right now...
