Given the information about Wizarding America, I couldn't help wondering that if Voldemort and the Death Eaters ever recruited Americans to join the ranks, in either war. While there isn't any evidence that American wizards have the views of purebloods vs Muggle-borns like English or other European wizards and witches, the fact that the magical population was strictly segregated from the Muggle, excuse me, No-Maj population could have appealed to Voldemort and company.
Igor Karkaroff is an example of foreigners being recruited to become Death Eaters. However, we did see Travers' reaction in Deathly Hallows (the book) when Hermione (posing as Bellatrix) introduced a disguised Ron as someone sympathetic to Voldemort's goals.
