our neighbor's cat had kittens about four months ago.
when i saw this fuzzy little black guy, i knew he had to join our family.
i wasn't worried about bert and ernie accepting him because they are so laid back.
i was right, they were ok with him within a matter of hours...
probably would have been sooner, but i didn't want to push them.
i wanted it to happen on their own terms.
anyway, meet bear. we named him after bear mountain in new york state.
it was reen-star's suggestion.
they loved going back to bear mountain when we visited new york.
we went there often when we lived there.
i'm thinking we should have named him SNERT though.
it rhymes with bert and kind of has the sound of a "bugger" or "brat".
this little guy runs away whenever he sees one of us coming...
most of the time anyway.
when he's in the mood he lets the kids carry him around and loves attention.
i'm loving having all these animals in our home.
we only ever had louden because he was pretty much set in his ways.
it wouldn't have been fair to bring another animal into his territory.
can't say that i blame him...
he was a one in a million cat though... i sure do miss him...
i wonder if this guy will get really fuzzy as he gets older.
wouldn't mind if he did...
the kids are in bed so now he can really lounge and not worry about someone bothering him!
oh my gosh! i had to laugh... bear does NOT like thunder!!!
