:-*( I don't know if I find it sadder to lose the vodka or leave your host parents for an extended period of time. How did you get to become so close to your host mom?

I got my host parents as you know, and I'm hoping to become close to them like you were to yours. I just don't know how to go about it. Did you cry leaving?

Ah, ok. I see. I share a lot of interests with my host father. Maybe he and I will be the same way. He's wicked cool!

How did you ever stop crying?

And I have a question. Are you going to the thing August the 8'th for Rotary? And if so, can I hitch a ride with you? I don't have a ride there, and I want to meet everyone.

I am sure of it!! Just you know be yourself, thats the best advice I can give you.

Actually Matt, I haven't stopped, everytime I look at her picture (or all of our pictures from trips and all the rotary kids pictures) I get choked up and fall into a little bit of depression. To stop myself hyesteraclly, was on the plane from Amsterdam to Detriot and I watched the Little Mermaid. When I got home I was a complete mess again, the next day I saw Mrs. Knobler and she really cheered me up because she cooked me my favorite meal Lemon Chicken!! SO little things helped me through but I can't stop thinking about exchange and I probably never will.....

Yes of course I will be there, about the ride I will have to see because I think I am going early, and my parents are coming later. I don't know whats going to happen and I dont want to promise you anything. I know Tony Brasberger is going, how about asking him. I will see though if you can come with us, you have to be there, its alot of fun. I went last year and got some awesome advice.

Thanks for the advice.

Speaking of little things - I love them. Well, usually if they're well thought out. I think it was sweet of Mrs. Knobler to do that for you. Actually, I was wondering how she did that for you. Seldomly do I hear of Students going to Teachers' houses.

Ok. I'll drop a message by the Rotary club just in case later today. I've got a lot to be doing. Funerals...friends...being anxious...the usual.

haha..iam just kidding about the vodka I was sadden but not as sad a leaving my host mom....I cried and cried and cried, it was like loseing my real mother and knowning in the back of my mind I may not see this women ever again in my life and how much she changed me and loved me. It hurt, it tore my heart out. It tore her heart out too.

I became so close with my host mom is because we shared alot of intrests and I just spent a lot of time with her plus I was her first daughter that she ever had so that helped. and I just always turned to her.

just be yourself and always participate in family functions. and always talk to them and ask them what you like and sugguest things like lets go to the movies or the mall or for a walk or play board games ect....you know??

I cried more than you wouldn't believe....
