Tiny treasures

"The dryad leaf I'm tempted to keep - it won't crumble, and it's a constant reminder of the friendship of Maple and her grove. I can keep it in the box I got from Selby. I was going to keep the little animated wooden mouse in there too, but I'm afraid he'd find a way to eat the leaf! The little thing is ravenous - it's chewed through the strings on its journal, and all it ever writes about is being hungry. I woke up yesterday with tiny inky footprints all over my arm, spelling out a mousey manifesto about how he needs good literature and lots of grains and seeds. If I could ever feed it enough, I could set it to small tasks and maybe dictate some of my letters for it to write. Honestly, though, I'd rather just write you myself and get rid of this hungry magical mouse. I'll sell it and that annoying enchanted mirror at the next market."
