Very true! However, I still get to enjoy the handmade ones. Today, my son gave me a flowerpot he'd painted and my daughter gave me a piece of art comprised of small painted rocks :D.
^_^ I still get funky, hand made stuff so I thought this was rather appropriate. Little to they know I will hide it away to blackmail them with later in life... mwahaha!!!
I love Baby Blues! lol. Gave my mom a card, hugs, and gifts (the lot of us did) so she was happy. (I think he favorite present was us forcing her not to lift a finger and stay in bed, as we went "old school" and gave her breakfast in bed. I great way to start off the day...
In any case, Happy Mother's Day to You! And to all the LJ mothers! Gotta love such days of recognition! ^_^
Thanks! I'm sure you mother enjoyed being forced into doing nothing. My kids got up, got their own breakfasts and turned on the TV super quietly so I could sleep in. It was wunnerful!
I got a painted rock today too! And a hand-drawn map of The Legend of Zelda, for some strange reason. He knows I don't need no stinkin' map! Ah well, it's the thought that counts.

That comic is so true hahahaha except the older the kids get, the more they all into the pattern of giving store-bought gifts XD
