That writer of far-fetched fiction Robert Rankin is quite an old friend of mine. I'm in the dedication of one of his novels, but even further than that, I'm a very minor character in another of them

I find it hard to imagine a jazz band would have a problem with 5/4 swing, though. It's hardly abstruse.

At least your Tuckerisation is in a survivable environment. I once thought I had been Tuckerised in a short horror story, about a chap who finds a strange alien object in his garden, which eats him. Lisa Tuttle denied it was meant to be me. A lot of things matched, but they were things she probably didn't know about me...
