karma returns for an encore

so i had my court date today for the traffic infraction of "not wearing my seatbelt properly". I went to the courthouse with my dad and went in the courtroom. it's not like the tv shows at all...basically they call the person up and state the charge and offer them options of guilty, rescheduling a trial date or a class depending on the nature and severity of the charge. there were all sorts of charges brought in front of the judge: posession of marijuana, driving with open alcohol container, concealed weapon, violence, drunk and disorderly...

most of the people that went up either rescheduled another trial or plead guilty, but there were always the few idiots that thought they could play the system..like the guy that said he needed a public defender appointed to him yet had no evidence to support that claim beyond paying for rent of $200 and groceries..and he said he made 300-400 a week...i think the judge was irritated.

there were basically lots of hispanics, blacks and white trash there. that may sound harsh but it's accurate. when they called my name, i went up and the bailiff was like so you weren't wearing a seatbelt and i was like yeah that's what it says and then he just kind of smiled and was like have you worn it since then consistantly? i was like yes sir and he was like i'm going to dismiss this you are free to go and i was like thank you sir. i didn't have to deal with the judge, didn't have to wait long and most importantly.. didn't have to pay $100 :)..all in all pretty relieved! good karma? i think so!!!
