Today at mass, father gave two ideas for Lent. Give up Facebook or post a weekly "good thing about being Catholic" post. I gave up Facebook a few years ago and just found I had a lot of time on my hands, but didn't use it for good, I found other wasteful things to do instead. So, here we go . -->I find a deep, beautiful connection with my deceased family members when I think that they have listened to the same Bible readings, sang the same hymns and spoken the same prayers as I do when I attend mass.
Today:
Oops, forgot my "Lenten one good thing about my faith post" yesterday. So here goes: I am thankful for a faith that honors saints. Although many see saints like holy superheros: finding our lost keys (Matthew) and getting us to work safely (Christopher), saints are proof that God takes the humble human being to do great work... and that is inspiring. If saints were people just like us, then were are, and are surrounded by saints. We are all capable of good work.
