It's been a while.
Sigh.
I haven't seen Battlestar Galactica in months, and it isn't that I lost interest-- not at all-- but I've moved into a stringent dormitory where internet is "not allowed", and where there is no cable. Except in the prefects' rooms, but they watch Gilmore Girls and Grey's Anatomy, and would laugh me out of the room if I ever inquired as to whether they could tivo an entire night of Scifi.
In news: My dear sister has moved away to the mountains of New York to study Rinzai Zen at a monastery there; my best friend moved into my house once I moved out of it; I shipped myself forty-five minutes away to a prep school for the sake of my mental health (and yes, it really has done wonders); I have begun writing more seriously; I have almost completely lost any knack I ever had with Photoshop.
School uses up most of my time, but I really do mean* to get back into this. Stylistically speaking, fanfic did a lot for me. It taught me to experiment, and that there is no high or low way to write. Skills practice can't ever be bad, can it? As it were I think it's best if I restrict myself to weekend posting. Can't be getting any further behind on work than we already have, can we?
*I must decline to promise anything, as not slipping up in school is infinitely more important than loyalty to any fandom, no matter how awesome the fellow fangirls. And y'all are completely awesome.
