Year 2012
I've been thinking about the last year a lot and have finally found time to type a few thoughts.
It has been an interesting year. In one way, its tempting to think nothing of real significance happened. Im still working away on counselling, photography and in my job. But in another way to say that would be neglecting the mountain of things that did happen.
The word I can use for 2012 was expanded. In terms of being challenged, working, thinking, expecting, processing. In 2012, I have been expanded. In small subtle ways that went by unnoticed for a while. And in huge ways that have made me determined for 2013.
In terms of how I think about things, things that I thought I didn't really have to think about, I have been expanded. I have realised I have a voice, and one that maybe needs to be voiced a bit more, both spiritually and in terms of the world we live in. This year I think God really expanded me. I see how I don't want to settle for any less than what He has for me, and that means even in terms of what I choose to share.
This year has been challenging spiritually too, its been difficult to hold on to promises. New year is always a tough time for me as I fight off the thoughts of 'another year passed' but it's good to win that fight :) And how can I not hold on to the promises when I know that God's thoughts are for me? His words of 'it will fulfill my plans' are glittering and wonderful. So I continue to walk after my daddy, knowing that my born determination was a gift. I believe. I'm thankful. Oh so thankful.
2012 bought a move in my counselling hours - thankful, and excited for 2013! It bought a move in photography - selling some photos and 2 weddings done :) Thankful and moving forward in 2013 :) I got to go to NEW YORK :) amazing and can't wait to get back. I got to visit family in LA which was amazing also, and friends in Michigan was a very awesome time- I'm thankful for all that and Skype :) Part of my heart is in all 3 of those places.
