I went to Frock Me! this morning and it was pretty damn awesome. I spent a good hour browsing all the stalls, and while I didn't buy anything it was fascinating seeing so much gorgeous stuff. Some of it was seriously old, like original 1930s dresses and Edwardian corsets.

I was sorely tempted by a 1950s green and purple chiffon cocktail dress that I had designs on for KT's wedding, but it was £195 (eek!) and while it was a 38" bust 34" waist I'm not convinced I would have got into it, even with magic undercrackers. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it ;-)

After that I decided to head up to Oxford St to see if I would get third time lucky in trying to get into the big new Primark store (the previous couple of times the queue was too intimidating). Well I did and HELLO Temple of Shopping! OK, so I had to queue for 20 minutes to get to the checkout, and if you wanted to try anything on you didn't have a hope in hell. But OMG! I love Primark. They even have home furnishings and toiletries there! I left after more than hour with a bulging sack of goodies that cost me less than £35. If I ever get married I am SO registering at Primark ;-)

My three favourite purchases are "Born to be famous" girl boxers; an apple-green trapeze cardigan (who knew I could get away with trapeze on my figure?) and a bling-tastic rhinestone "L" initial necklace.

I managed to avoid going into the giant New Look across the road. Damn you discount clothing retailers and your nefarious store-positioning plans!

Now I'm just trying to figure out how I'm going to get them all in my bulging wardrobe. I'm so glad I'm buying a two bedroom maisonette....

doing stuff, i win!!
