Love, love, love...
One of the things I love about my family is that we're all pretty good at sharing our interests and therefore influencing each other.
I started watching TBBT because Jez mentioned he liked it. My parents have watched and enjoyed many a tv show (LoM and Psych as examples) because I've forced them made suggestions. I got massively into Grand Designs because my parents are massively into it. Nick and I share musical love all the time, and I've told you before I've made him watch some awesome, awesome stuff.
So, last night, when I was prattling on about Magicians and the fact, unlike with most mediocre things, I actually like it more the more I think about it, and seriously, it's unfair that two likeable characters are in a product not as critically lauded as two unlikeable ones, Mum says, "but didn't David's character inadvertantly cut off his wife's head?"
"...How do you know that?"
"You don't know what you've started, Laura."
By which I mean I am not the only member of my family who's on a David Mitchell kick, and this amuses me so much.
But even better than that, I'm also not the only member of my family on a Charlie Brooker kick. Mum emailed me the adorable news of Charlie Brooker's engagement implying she wanted to be the first to break the devastating news. HAHAHAHA!
