Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

This is the positive post. The things that made me squeak with enjoyment and joy. It contains spoilers, obviously.

But some things, I probably read right... )

It wasn't Bertha Jorkins, she died off-stage in book four. I can't actually remember the woman's name but it had Bs in it and it wasn't Bertha Jorkins. =P

The camping around in forests got tedious after a while, and there was about four paragraphs where I actually considered putting the book down until the next day, but then I remembered the bet with one of my friends about Snape (I had money on him being good, because dude, it was so obvious it was hardly betting at all. On that note, I would like to add that I figured out the silver doe was Snape's patronus immediately, a fact that I have obnoxiously boasted about ever since).

Harry really doesn't get enough love in fandom, really, considering he's the hero of the books. But yes, NEVILLE = ♥♥♥

Dude, thank you! I clearly have Bertha on the brain. It was Bathilda Bagshot. EEE. Y'know, I never would have made that mistake a couple of years ago.

Neville has bullocks of bloody steel that boy does.

I'm glad you enjoyed it even so. :)

I was cheering for Neville, too.

And, yeah, Dudley. I actually teared up when he was gracious to Harry. Then mentioned this to the friend whom I was visiting (and whose book I borrowed because JKR sells enough books without me) and she had done the same. There's a good kid in there who's been spoiled rotten but perhaps will manage to be a good adult.

I teared up too. It was the only time, in fact. Dudley was unexpected and brilliant.

I kid you not, immediately after reading your LJ I went, "Oh, Sheena's going to kill me for not being a fluffy bunny". So this post was kind of for you. Hee.

Neville is made of absolute win. I can't get over how much he rocks. And Harry! HARRY HARRY HARRY HARRY HARRY AND ANOTHER HARRY. ... ! LLL.

Haha... Well I never really expected you to love it considering your decline in HP love so there will be no killing. I didn't read your negative post btw because you know I avoid that stuff. :p

...! Bwahaha. The whole time during that part I was thinking OMIGOD I hope Loz is going to read this soon so we can giggle about this!

I want to offer a more in-depth reply but don't have time right now. However, I'll say I agree with all the happy feelings you had about this book. Some of the bad, too.

Oh, and another happy feeling of happiness I had: I adored the twins, moreso than I did before (and I already adored them). Why?

Because there was constantly ratcheting tension, and then more tension, and topped off with a syrup of pure distilled TENSION and then the joke about being a saint and I nearly died laughing. Seriously. And my heart exploded with love. XD

THE TWINS

Yes. They were in fine form.

I... oh, George. See? I should have been bawling over Fred, because I adore him.

If it helps, I'm blinking back tears over Fred atm. coz I'm at work and bawling over a fictional book that I read a month ago would probably not go down well...

Aha. Here were my thoughts just after reading. :) And before I stepped into the gaping chasmic abyss of rionaleonhart's "let's cross over EVERYTHING EVER with Silent Hill" challenge, which proceeded to completely eat my brain right after that. XD
