To be honest, I'm doing this because I'm a stickler for tradition.
I'm still not loving Battlestar Galactica. I'm not even really liking it. And this is terrible because I adored this show. Is it just me? Am I a completely different person? I don't care about any of the characters anymore. Not even the ones I once waxed lyrical about. Almost everything that happens feels forced and false and clunky in the extreme.
It feels like the cool stuff that was going on gender-wise has now been shoved out the airlock. Every woman is either a loving wife, a potential mother or a mothering figure. That really just pisses me off. And the same can be said for the men - they're all warriors or traitors.
Actually, it feels like all the cool stuff that was going on with everything was shoved out the airlock. I don't know. It looks like next week might actually be an episode I could enjoy - given where we've ended up (I didn't watch the promo - I never do.)
I guess - elements I liked but thought could have been better handled;
Goodbye, Ellen (yes that did please me, I am a horrible person.)
Kasey (Casey? KC?) wasn't Kara's child (I did feel some sympathy for a moment, but, well, it wasn't very surprising to me.)
Lee coming in the Pegasus to save the day.
Chief Tyrol once more seeming like Chief Tyrol (I shall confess that in 3.03 I did wisecrack about the lack of beard. "What do you do when your wife has been taken by the cylons? That's right - lather and shave!")
The fact that the ending was celebratory for most, but we got to see that it was still devastating for others.
