1. The excitement of discovering gallons of a xylene alternative that is considered non-hazardous waste and has the pleasant scent of orangey lemons.
2. Listening to people talk about zebrafish for 5 hours and finding it FASCINATING.
3. Being introduced to a new Taq Polymerase which is cheaper, saves time, AND works better
4. The thrill of online bidding for discount pipettemen and hybridization ovens.
I could go on, but I'm really just procrastinating and trying to think positive thoughts about how awesome science is before I immerse myself in grant writing.
