Heyyyyyyyy -
Yeah so its been forever and I day since I’ve updated this thing. Not that it matters since no one reads it anyway, but whatever, I’ll do it now for my faithful reader (whoever you are) to fill them in on my somewhat boring life.

Well I can’t say that student teaching is boring. It is anything but. Its stressful, its hilarious, its indescribable. The kids are just ridiculous. I really like them individually (with the exception of a few that I wouldn’t mind kicking) but as a class they’re frustrating because its like they never learned any rules in previous years. For example, when a teacher is talking, do we talk? The correct answer is no. The class’ answer is: heck yes we do, what else would we be doing at the moment? Listening? Of course not. Next example, when the teacher asks a question, do we respond by raising our hands with the correct answer or the closest thing to it that we can come up with in our little minds? The correct answer is yes. The class’ answer is: We will raise our hands if you’re lucky and we will most likely just continue to mumble a story about our bike’s or the fact that our grandfather took us hiking last weekend.

WOW - its interesting. I think its just the age that is making me angry sometimes. I don’t think I can do the really little ones. I’ve been in those classrooms before but only for short periods of time. I’m in there EVERY day from 8-3 and they’re quite frankly driving me mad. I’m frustrated with the fact that I have to teach them so much. That might sound ridiculous, but what I mean by that is that I want them to have the BASICS down (such as not writing p’s backwards and upside down or writing the number fourteen as 41) so that I don’t have to review that stuff. I want them to be able to write complete sentences and know that it is a sentence. Not just put the period at the end of a line because it’s the end of a line. Seriously. Sometimes this stuff strikes me as funny, but its usually after the fact. I’ve decided that I can deal with a little attitude in the fourth or fifth grade because its better than them giving me blank looks when I ask them to fix the word “the” in their writing.

The internet thing is getting majorly old. I get mad that I can write epic novels to people and then it decides to kick me off. I get back online and the person is like 18 lines back on the conversation. WAAAA. Angry is me. But we’re getting real internet this week - Thursday actually. That makes me sooooooooo happy. Very very very happy. I have a feeling it’ll make Megan very happy too since we’re usually interrupted. It’s cute.

So what else is going on you ask? Oh you don’t care? Well I’ll tell you anyway. Beth has gone home this weekend so I’ve been ATTEMPTING to get a lot of stuff done, because if Beth’s here then I’m like - hey, lets go to Wal*Mart and hang out or lets watch a movie or lets just stare at the wall and not do anything. Its bad. Haha. What a bad influence she is! J/K I think I’m going to visit Katie & Everett this afternoon. I probably shouldn’t since I still have shit to do, but oh well. I’m going anyway and that’s final.

So this week brings some pretty friggen amazing events. 1.) Lost starts on Wednesday and we’re having a pizza party for the devoted fans (and a few who aren’t devoted yet but WILL be) and I’m pooping with excitement. 2.) My observation is on Thursday. I might be more excited about this if I had written out the lesson plan yet, but I’m going to start doing that today and hopefully it goes well and I can get a good grasp on the order of what I’m going to do so I don’t look like a moron when my supervisor comes in. 3.) The SECOND episode of Survivor is taking place Thursday and it is also Dale’s 19th birthday - he is going to get some magnificent presents I tell ya. 4.) Its fair weekend - need I say more??? MAGIC. The carney’s, the rickety rides, the beyond-greasy food, the smells… its going to be a beautiful time, I’m sure.

Alright well I guess this is enough of an update for now. The only problem now is going to be getting back online with a decent signal to update this bitch. Its time for breakfast, more scrapbook organizing, and some homework. Its gonna be a good time, I’m sure.
