haaretz is calling on Olmert to resign

One of the editorials this morning on Haaretz is calling on OLmert to resign as PM. Some of their points do seem like valid criticism. Although i think they miss the main issue im my opinion. The IDF response to terror threats, be they from Hamas or Hizbully seem to have become formulaic and predictable. Air raids, half-assed land incursions and targeted killings of low ranking ( and thus immediately replaseble ) terrorists. Hizbully seems to have obtain the element of surprise on its tactics. I am not sure what to suggest but it seems the IDF should start thinking of engaging in "sneaky" warfare. Like for example kidnap Bashir al Assad from Syria, and demand the end of rockets to free him. Same with Mahmoud AlZahar. The only time since the end of the Hudna when Hamas stopped shooting rockets was when Amir Peretz threatened to kill all their high-ranking big fishes.
