[There's complete disbelief on Ling's part at first, followed quickly by a lot of concern and guilt over the state he had last seen her in almost two weeks ago to him.

But of course he holds this in as much as he possibly can when he finally speaks.]

[It takes him a while, but eventually he closes in on her location. He can't help but worry a bit though; with the things he'd heard about different times here he wasn't sure if she'd have her arm or not and he still didn't have the secret to immortality. But it's his duty as Prince to make sure that she's all right regardless.

Ling spots her and slows his space a bit, calling out while still being several yards away.]

[The entire wait is filled with worry. Where is he? Why was it taking so long? It wasn't until she saw the Prince that she breathed a sigh of relief. Good... He was safe. RanFan rose her hand and waved--the shiny new metal one.]

Master... [Gasp! Is that a slight smile? ... Probably not.]

[He's clearly surprised when he sees the automail arm. That was certainly fast... Wait, no, this mostly likely meant she was from some time in the future like most of the others. He looked a little relieved himself.]

[She notes this surprise and lifts the arm, examining it herself.] I told you I was getting it. I can't abandon my duties due to the loss of a limb. That would be... dishonorable. [Anymore, the loss doesn't seem to phase her. And save for originally being left handed, she seems well.]

I'm happy to see you safe... after not hearing from you for so long, I had been worried...

[Awkward frown time. How was he supposed to explain this when he didn't know most of it himself?]

It's been nearly two weeks. However...

[He pauses and averts his gaze from her.]

I've been told this place can even transcend time when we're brought here. I would guess it's been longer for you, but it was also two weeks ago that... we fought the homunculi and captured Gluttony.

Two weeks? That was well over six months ago. Two weeks after that, I had just gotten to Rush Valley with Grandfather to get this automail. [A pause.] ... I see what you mean. [What a trip.]

What would you like to do now? Whatever the decision, I intend to follow.

Yes, most of the others are from the future. I'm pleased that you were able to get an arm there. [Eye contact and smile attempts. What a trip indeed. He's beginning to suspect that he was missing something from her comments about not hearing from him and only mentioning Fuu in her trip for the surgery, but now's not the time to question that. He's just glad to see her and that she seems to have recovered well.]

We're trapped here for now and we'll have to fend for ourselves again. It would be best to accustom ourselves to this place as quickly as possible. We still need to continue our search, however.

Yes. I can't imagine being here without it. [Quiet observation was always a strong point, right? She can't help but wonder about Fuu, but... it wouldn't do well to worry. Not with Ling here. The focus was to keep him safe, and that was something she would not falter on again.]

[Ling can't help but feel a pang of guilt at her comment. If it hadn't been for him she wouldn't have needed a new arm in the first place...

But now he needed to focus on the matter at hand. He gives a tiny grin himself in response, but the abnormality is that it's weaker than usual for him.]

I've been staying with the Elrics and Winry in a large building they're using as a house for now. Safe places aren't easy to find here and I think may help to continue sticking close to them in the search.

[RanFan too feels the sting of guilt, but for other reasons. At least the Prince was in one piece. Better her than Master. This grin somewhat reassures her, however uncharacteristic as it was.]

Understood. It seems there might be more safety in groups. ... On the good side of things, there may be other options now... for immortality, that is.
