[ she turns on the feed, running a hand through her hair as she prepares what she wants to say. ]It has come to my attention that there are quite a few different people here, more so, even, than when I was last here. I’m glad to see so many people can, and are, getting along in spite of it, or perhaps because of it. Really, we ought to be ( Read more... )

[Well, Leonhardt heard the feed while he was out picking up groceries, as strange as that may sound. That prompted a raised eyebrow from him but he's overall ignoring it. The idea of equality to him is just idiotic and he sure doesn't want to be on the same level as a bunch of weak humans, and especially not on the same level as those who deceive and let themselves be deceived.

However, he unfortunately can't avoid passing by the fountain all that easily on the way home. It is the best way to get out to C3 from the shops, after all. He looks a bit different since the last thread with him, more mature looking and a very troubled look in his eyes since his kidnapping effect finally wore off and he's back to his normal age. Good luck recruiting him, though.]

[ this is becoming a trend for her today. as soon as she sees him, she hops up, brandishing a badge in her hand. ]

Here, take a badge for S.A.V.E. It's the new organization.

[He looks a bit curious about it.] So if you advocate vampiric education could you perhaps educate me on what one is?

[Yeah, one of those worlds with no vampires, about the closest thing is some types of bats that are monsters and therefore must be killed.]

Also, I should say thank you for your assistance when I was under that effect. It finally went away after a month.

Traditionally, vampires are known as creatures of the night. There are various methods of becoming one, often called 'turning,' that usually involve blood, either of the human, the vampire sire, or both. Becoming a vampire in any way means the person in question is effectively dead and need blood to survive. Some types are worse than others about acquiring that blood, to my understanding, but I don't believe all vampires are inherently evil. That's like saying all dogs are evil or all humans are. It's rubbish. [ yeah, she has strong feelings on this subject. ]

You're welcome. Any kind of effect like that is cruel to have to suffer alone. I hope nothing like that happens to you again.

Labeling something good or evil is rubbish as it is. Thinking in terms of black and white like that is like jumping into a lake without knowing how deep the water is or what lies within the waters.

But did you ever consider that creatures who are not human may not wish to be equated with humans?

[Yes, in a way he agrees, but he also considers humans to be inherently weak and cannot support any non-human creature being made equal to them.]

Yes, but that's just as bad. It's still a generalization based on what someone is, rather than who they are.

[And that just prompts a smirk. He can somehow see Hermoine trying to befriend monsters because they aren't all bad (and some are actually cute) and getting herself killed in the process.]

The same could be said of the monsters in my world. But if someone leaves a town without protection, they will die. That is a fact. That doesn't mean that when someone leaves a town they should exterminate every monster they see, only the ones that prove to be dangerous by attacking first. That is how I treat every creature, even humans.

[ the difference being that she does her research beforehand so she does know what she's getting herself into. ]

I would doubt sincerely that those monsters are as sentient as the vampires - or humans - we see today. But even so, they are living creatures, so as long as they don't harm anyone, I agree with you. We should beware the ones that are dangerous and befriend the ones that aren't.

[And even that could be a decent amount for her memory, there's a lot of monsters out there and not always a lot of information on them besides "monsters are dangerous".]

That is typically my attitude, but I tend to be wary of all creatures I meet. There are few who can truly be trusted.

I believe everyone has something good in them. [ but she won't disagree fully... ] But I'm glad not everyone is so judgmental.
