[Gelda certainly remembers that voice. Which teacher wouldn't remember a student as diligent as Hermione?]

Oh... Hermione. I know the circumstances aren't desirable, but I'd like to welcome you back all the same.

[ and hermione always remembers the voices of her favorite professors! ]

Professor! Thank you. It's... [ she can't entirely say it's good or bad to be back. she's torn on whether she prefers to be in one place or another and depends entirely on circumstance. ] I would say that it's good to be back, but I'm not entirely certain anyone can honestly say that. I am, however, glad to hear from you again. How have you been?

Oh, I've been very well, thank you. I've been keeping busy.

[She pauses for a moment, before pressing on.] To answer your questions, it's November. You've been gone for over half a year, I believe.

Good. It's sometimes easy to do that here. I remember at least there's always something to do.

[ and that rest makes her pause for a long while. ] Half a year? That's... I've been gone a really long time, then. It was only a few weeks, maybe a month at most back home...

Is that so? Well, you should know that there's been a few changes for the Malnosso recently. We now have a 'Resident Perceptions' manager.

...Resident Perceptions? Do they actually listen to us now? [ she sounds skeptical... ]

It's a bit too early to tell. However, they seem to be offering us "missions" to volunteer for in exchange for rewards.

[ she does not like the sound of that. ]

What sort of missions and what sort of rewards? Or have they not gone into detail yet?

Both the missions and the rewards are very diverse. If you flip to the back of your journal, you should find all the information you need.

Though personally, I find it appalling that we now need to place our lives in danger if we'd like to request certain items and conveniences.

That certainly looks... unique. I'll have to look into that. [ and she doesn't sound particularly happy about it, honestly. ]

I don't see why they see the need to do this to us when we're already doing enough for them by being in the drafts! [ oh this is hitting one of her nerves so hard. thanks, malnosso. now hermione's thinking of starting up S.P.E.W. only for humans. ]

Yes, I quite agree. The Malnosso are becoming a bit too demanding for my taste. We'll just have to see how this plays out.

In the meantime, do you have any other questions?

Demanding, controlling. They're taking our freedom away and making us pay for it. [ oh this hits bad things and she has to work hard not to explode about the injustice of it all. ]

Not at the moment, but if I do, I'll surely come to you. Oh! I know one. School times. You know I wouldn't miss classes if I had to.

[Gelda chuckles lightly at that.]

Of course I know. The school times are still the same as before; Monday to Thursday, from nine to half past two. I don't believe you'll need to take the test again.

You don't? I will if you think I ought to. [ and she seriously will. ] I'd like to think I wouldn't miss the same questions as last time.

[ she pauses. ] But I will be there. I can't miss class. [ ever. ] I've probably missed too much already as it is.

[So diligent, Hermione! This is why you're one of Gelda's favorite students.]

Well, I certainly won't stop you from taking the test again. If you'd like to try again, we can arrange a good time to do so. I can give you a quick recap of all the things we've handled in class after the summer break ended, as well.

Then perhaps I will. It can't hurt.

I would appreciate that. I had hoped I wouldn't miss so much time. It hasn't been that long at home at all. It's the strangest sensation... [ you can be she'll be taking a poll of who's returned home and back and got time jumbled up like she did! ]
