[Well, now that she's feeling much better, it's time for her to announce it to the world. Er by "world" she means "Luceti." Observant people may notice that the little picture of her in the corner of the journal looks as though... it's gotten a rather startling haircut. Feel free to comment.]

Well, first, you have to understand the background surrounding Jesus' life. He is said to be the Chosen One, the Savior of the world, who would come and show the way for man to reach Heaven, and die on the cross to pay for the sins of man. It was an Immaculate Conception, meaning Mary, Jesus' mother, was a virgin and thus Jesus is the Son of God. Christmas is meant to worship the little baby who would grow up to become a very holy man, the most pure ever to walk the earth. Supposedly, he was said to be a gift from God. Other people can from all over to bring him gifts, so the tradition of gift exchanges is said to reflect the gifts given to him. However, once something becomes an international, or even national, holiday, it tends to lose its original meaning. Most people these days have forgotten or simply don't care about the original meaning. I don't particularly care for religion itself, but I think it's good to give each other gifts of appreciation all over the entire year, not just for a special holiday. However, sometimes that line of thought doesn't go so well and it seems most people don't think like that anyway. I suppose it depends on the person as to what exactly this holiday means to them.

But how will you learn? What's the point of me only explaining the basics if you still don't understand it? [She really sounds bewildered. No one will ever convince her of the pros of being short and concise.]

No, but that's because anyone ought to know how to make a sandwich after a certain age. Explaining it to them would be pointless and insulting. For something like this, it's assumed you knew nothing about the subject, or you wouldn't have asked me about it. So, I had every right to explain it to you so you would understand everything about it.

...It's not complicating things to explain them. That's making things less complicated, actually.
