[It's early afternoon at this point when Hermione sits down at the dining room table and opens her journal. It's started recording as soon as she tells it to, but the sound of something near the door distracts her.]

It's what they named him at the Magical Menagerie and I never wanted to change it. I didn't want to confuse him.

He's very smart, though, so he might have figured it out, but there's no point in confusing an animal if you can avoid it.

I know. I don't think real pirates are dense enough to believe that they could unless they're wizards. Then they'd probably be able to spell the parrot so it's better suited to any life they'd want.
