Odd name for a cat.

It's what they named him at the Magical Menagerie and I never wanted to change it. I didn't want to confuse him.

He's very smart, though, so he might have figured it out, but there's no point in confusing an animal if you can avoid it.

It sounds like the name of a pirate, almost.

I suppose so, though wizard pirates tend to be a little more careful about hiding themselves.

And I doubt any of them would be cats. Or take a cat form as their Animagus transformation.

Is that so? Cats are rather good at hiding.

Yes, they are, but I don't see a pirate's animal form being a cat.

Or a parrot. Pirates theoretically seem to favour parrots over anything else.

A bit of a fallacy, given parrots haven't much chance of survival on open water.

I know. I don't think real pirates are dense enough to believe that they could unless they're wizards. Then they'd probably be able to spell the parrot so it's better suited to any life they'd want.
