Hermione! I'm glad to hear from you. Do you need any help?

Terra... I'm at home now. Thank you. I should be fine.

[Her handwriting still looks a little shaky, though.]

Oh, good. But still, if you need anything, I really don't mind running it over to you.

[There are a couple of ink blotches here, like she tried to write something and changed her mind.]

I don't think I can go out any time soon, but... I wouldn't mind someone to talk to. [If Terra isn't busy, of course.]

Then I can be there shortly. It's no trouble.

If you're sure... I'll be downstairs.

I am...and I'll be over, soon.

[There's a knock on the door a little while later.]

[Hermione closes the journal and once she hears the knock, she walks over to open it.]

Hello, Terra. [She looks worn, but there's a smile on her face as she pulls the door open enough for Terra to come inside.] Would you like anything while you're here?

[Terra instantly smiles back, though practically radiates worry. She remembers well how worn she was upon returning, and that seems to be a common thing. At the question, she pauses.]

Maybe some tea? Though I can get it, if you tell me where. I wouldn't want to strain you after you just returned.

[Hermione understands that one, too. But she points to the kitchen and shuts the door behind Terra.]

Up in the cabinets in the kitchen. Bottom shelf. I should be able to make the bluebell flames in a jar again to heat the water for you. That's no trouble at all.

Okay, then.

[Terra heads toward the kitchen, retrieving the tea and some cups. She glances back after pouring some water into a kettle.]

You haven't missed too much, school-wise. I can drop off the assignments after school tomorrow and pick them up whenever you wish.

[Hermione looks relieved at that as she sits down.]

I would love that. Harry and Ron would always do that for me at home, but Ron's gone and I don't think Harry would want me to be doing homework while I'm resting now. I've just gotten so bored being cooped up again.

[She nods, sympathetic.]

Oh, I understand. I couldn't do much when I was returned, but...I couldn't just sit there and rest all the time. I hope you won't have to be cooped up for too long. At least it's relatively quiet, now? You won't have to recuperate during experiment madness.

And I can't abide getting behind in classes. [Just ask Harry.]

I'm so glad I missed the experiment. It sounded terrible, though the trade-off wasn't much better. But not having to deal with both was nice.

[She pauses, thoughtful.]

Being manipulated like that was terrible, but...not quite the experiment itself. The fountain wine made for an odd day, though. I don't know if it makes any sense, but having feelings for someone was...nice, even though it wasn't real.

I understand. [She smiles a little at that. It makes her miss Ron even more.] It is nice to know someone cares for you and you for them. [She looks a little wistful.]
