*clears throat*
So...I totally didn't mean to be as silent on here as I have so far this year. I'm pretty sure that a lot of it has to do with being sick throughout Christmas and New Year's and work kinda of blowing the big one so far this year. I don't really want to get too boggled down with everything going on in this post but lets just say that I'm very over my current job. I did have an interview with another company in December while I was sick but it didn't pan out cause the company put a freeze on the position. Then I decided to do something insane and try and get a promotion with my current company to maybe get a break on things driving me nuts...but was looked over. So that puts me back in a really bad situation - but I'm trying to get by, mainly because I have vacation coming up on the 28th of this month.
In other non-work related news there hasn't really been much going on with me lately. I'm starting to get excited about my upcoming vacation since I'll be attending Sakura-con again up in Seattle. Since I happened to have such awesome luck last year at my anime cons (still in awe that I got to meet Todd Haberkorn and Travis Willingham) I'm not going to this con expecting to really meet anyone. I mean there is one guest at the con that I would like to get a signature from (Vic Mignogna) but I'm not going to be heartbroken if it doesn't work out. Right now I really just need something fun and to be surrounded by people that are into anime. As always I'm seriously lacking anime friends, though at least I have a con-buddy again ;)
TV show wise I'm still in love with my Criminal Minds gang and most of the usual suspects. Yesterday was a really great day for TV since Grimm finally came back on the air. For new shows this year the only ones that I tried and am still watching is Elementary (so madly in love with this show) and The Following (but I am a few episodes behind). Walking Dead is wonderful as always - and I've had quite a few geek moments with that series in recent months since most of my Christmas presents from my parents were Walking Dead themed and I picked up Maggie and Glenn's autograph cards from the season 2 card set for myself this year.
I also have to admit that this year I've kinda been going through some emotional mood swings that aren't fully work related. For whatever reason this February was tougher than I remember them being with memories coming up with people that aren't here anymore and anniversaries of people passing away. During that time I did find the cute-ness of Om Nom from Cut the Rope. Since then I've gotten quite a few little Om Nom's to keep around to help spread happiness and have spent way too much time playing Cut the Rope on my Kindle. I feel late to the Cut the Rope bandwagon but at least I got there ;)
Since it is getting late due to the time change this weekend and I'm not even sure if anyone looks at my journal anymore I think I will end this post here. I'll try and post more often than I have been. After all, I do have some things I still want to post about that are fandomy. Hope anyone out there still reading this is good *hugs flist*
