Quickie
Well, I'm going to attempt to make this a quick post, especially since I need to head off to bed here shortly so I can kind of be functional when I go to work at 8 tomorrow. My cube buddy kept teasing me today that she'd have to try and trick me into thinking it was later to wake up. But I wanted to do a post before I head off cause I have a few things tumbling around in my head. Today was kind of a mixture of a good day and a bad one. Just cause of how my brain is processing right now - bullet point time!
Good:
-Work was slow, like really slow today. My boss let me take a half hour lunch and said I could just leave a half hour earlier than I was already today. I'm hoping this will carry over for our work load tomorrow. Cause slow and getting caught up left us all just kind of enjoying the new office and what have you.
-Got paid today and found out on my paycheck stub that I got a raise - woohoo! Only $0.48 cents but hey, every bit counts.
-The last of my Christmas gift stragglers showed up in the mail and are already wrapped which means - no more Christmas wrapping for Loyal.
-Got the last 2 hours needed of community service for work today.
Bad:
-Almost got into a car accident because some asshole decided that my car wasn't really in the other turn lane and could try and run me off the road. If I hadn't swirved and hit the breaks and horn all in one move I'm pretty sure the new car and me wouldn't have been looking too pretty.
-While I got the last 2 hours I needed of community service I have to admit that my second trip to donate blood didn't go nearly as smooth as last time. First the blood pressure machine was having trouble reading my blood pressure. Like seriously having issues, it kept saying I had no blood pressure and was basically dead. After 8 attempts the 9th attempt finally gave me a blood pressure reading. Then we had issues with getting my vein, right arm was tried first, poked, adjusted, decided no good, was bandaged up. Left arm finally worked but man my right arm hurts from the failed attempt. I'm really curious to see how black and blue I am tomorrow... But the girls at the place were very apologetic and nice, the one that was doing the needles did mine last time and kept apologizing and almost cried. I felt so sorry for her.
So yeah. That's kind of my day in a nut shell. Well minus one thing, tonight I decided to order myself a Christmas present that will get here after Christmas obviously. But I ordered myself the new Kuroshitsuji art book for season 2 of the show *hearts* The website I watch for art books just got it in stock today and after checking with my parents that it would be safe to order (which I figured it should since no one knew about it) I ordered it for myself :D I've been watching for the book for awhile and I don't want to chance them selling out, so yeah. That's another kind of happy thing.
But now I seriously need to get to bed. Last night I got way too little sleep being the Christmas wrapping elf in the family and I know that alarm is going to go off far too early. *snugs flist*
