Weekend day 1 of 4
Figured I should do a post since my last one was pretty moody. Today was the first day of my four day weekend *cheers* I have to say that I'm really thankful for the weekend. Today I didn't really do anything that was overly productive but for once I really don't feel bad or that I wasted the day. In a rare moment I think my conscious and subconscious are in agreement that I needed it.
Yesterday was our "Halloween party" of sorts at work. I got to wear my zombie costume, although I fully admit that I over slept and ended up having to really rush my makeup. But everyone said it was good and everyone liked my intestines ;) So it all worked out and honestly, I had a lot of fun at work yesterday. Was a nice refresher since Wednesday I felt so unsure. In some ways I'm still so-so on the promotion but my partner in crime at work was so excited for me that it wore off a little. It'll just be an adjustment getting up at 8am every day instead of 10am and I fully admit that I will miss being able to make myself grilled sandwiches for lunch.
Also last night I went to an early show of Saw 7 in 3D - I know they are just calling it Saw 3D but really...it's 7 :P It was okay, not the best there were things I really liked, the lack of realistic blood got on my nerves, but I did like how they ended it for the series. I just really hope they stick to their guns and keep 7 as the last one.
Today though I went out to sushi with jassyskie for lunch in celebration of the promotion. Which was nice :) I really love living in my state where we have a state holiday, love it even more when my work gives us the day off for it *g* We had a lot of fun and even found out that getting a sushi role with raw salmon, cream cheese, green apples, and a kiwi sauce tastes really really good no matter how weird it sounds XD After that I basically relaxed the rest of the day, went to the grocery store with my parents to get things to make boo-cup pie for Halloween and easy things to make for dinner, and watched horror movies with my dad.
I also caught up on tv shows I missed this week cause of other commitments. I LOVED Hodges in CSI this week *hearts* And Hotch's son in Criminal Minds *another heart* Cute moments this week.
It's looking like tomorrow my Aunt and Uncle will be in town for a short while from Washington. They're visiting family over the hill in California and wanted to come to see us and my grandpa, have lunch, then they'll be back in Cali. Short trip but it works. The rest of the weekend I don't too many solid plans other than I think Monday I will go get my turkey sandwich of heaven for lunch and watch anime all day :D I'm sure I'll post updates as the days go by.
And my final thought for this post...2am munchies are evil :P
