Hey, Doc, I was wondering, should I get a checkup on my arm soon?

[Ahhh! He'll never get used to being called a doctor. Nervousness begins]

Y-Your arm..?

[he regains most his composure as he comes back to his senses again]

Ah! yes. Yes, I could possibly come take a look at it. How does it feel?

It's better, but it still hurts sometimes. I'm trying to be careful when I'm working, but sometimes it just hurt for no reason...

What type of work are you doing?

I've been trying to get electricity for the Horton apartments.
It's kinda difficult with one hand.

I can imagine...

However, you should be able to do exercises now. Not tedious work but some basic exercises.

It may be better to show you. There is one where you take your arm and bring it across your chest, using the free arm to cup the elbow and gently pull it in closer to the chest. You should feel a stretch in the back of your shoulder; hold the stretch for fifteen seconds or so, then relax.

You can probably start doing light lifting. Nothing too heavy though. You'll still want to use both arms but if you exercise your arm a little bit every day, you'll lose that stiffness and regain mobility again.

If you're interested, you could always come to the Cafe for a couple Hours a day and exercise your arm while I'm here. You don't have to, but it's a thought...

I see.

I could do that. I... don't really have much else to do right now.

You can rest and have some tea too. I won't have you work too much, just enough to get some exercise for your arm.

Are you awake in the mornings? That's usually when I'm at the Cafe. I leave in the afternoons to work at the hospital.

[Cube smiles and nods back]

Well, that's really your choice. I'm here from six or seven in the morning until one or two in the afternoon. Lets' start you off with two hours and go from there. First week you'll probably be resting more then working but that'll change.
