What exactly do you mean by "slice through reality?" Do you make firsts in reality or portals or... what exactly happens and how does it effect people?

Er... it's along the lines of creating portals... e-er... it's... hard to describe without a demonstration, but it doesn't affect other people.

I'm also studying to be an alchemist, but... I don't believe that was affected by the chip. ... I just don't have the ingredients or materials to synthesize medicines or potions yet.

No, it wouldn't.

Ah-- alchemy. Item synthesis. Er... it depends on the recipe, really. To make a Heal Jar, I would need Clearwater, Blue Petal, and Spinacherb, for example. ... But, er... I do not believe I'll be able to find those things here. I also need a cauldron to boil the ingredients in. ... I could try to substitute ingredients, though.

Ah, I haven't heard of those items, though I wonder what substitution might do... could be bad, actually. I could always ask Soraoto-san if he has heard any of those items before and get back to you about it at a later date.
