[Spending the week in the hospital with long hours alone, Cube often found himself in a circle of thoughts, going around and around, hung on his answer to Yuuko about her proposed deal. If he gives up his memories of his mistresses, he could keep his memories of Discedo. That way, when he is sent home, he could visit all those who he holds dear to him while staying in Discedo.
If he returns to serve out the remaining years of his current Master, he knows he'll forget Discedo ever existed. He'll be assigned to another princess candidate, like he has done for so many decades and keep all his cherished memories hes held so dear to him.
Or, he could leave behind his purpose and everything he was for what he can be with the knowledge that even if he does visit the people he cares about, in their respectful worlds, they probably wouldn't remember him.. Even if people didn't remember him, he could make new memories and start somewhere new and maybe even become a real doctor...
Is it worth it?
That was the snag. It wasn't so much his serving the Gods but his Mistresses that made his life. To give up those memories for his own reasons felt almost like he was abandoning them.
Somewhere in the whirlpool of thoughts... the memory of what happened in November creeps in. If he had never remembered, and remained believing he was just a dog... he could have been happy with Shinji as his Master. His Mistresses couldn't be mad at him for that... not that most of them were alive any longer. Still, to accidentally forget and choosing to forget are completely different.
If there is one thing he's learned for the nearly-a-year hes been in Discedo, it's he can choose. A choice to do as he desires with his life.
Even if it is the hardest choice to make.]

I normally don't ask these types of things, but there comes a time for everyone to do this, I guess...
Imagine you have been given the chance to return home or to go to a friend's world instead.
Would you return home and leave everything you've learned and everyone you've met in Discedo behind? Returning to your own world and to never have knowledge of this city at all?
Or...
Would you go to a friend's world that's different from your own to start a new life, knowing you will never again be able to return home to how things once were?
[Knowing his situation is much different than this, Cube hopes to get opinions while not rousing much suspicion]
