Backdated from last year
I just made Melissa pinky promise me that we'd go to Europe and backpack. Either May 2008 or sometime before I settle down. That sometime is basically only happening if something crazy comes up and she absolutely can't go. And why is this of importance?
It means that I'm not going to Spain. I can't afford it. At most I can afford to open up a savings account with Wells Fargo and start putting money for this loverly trip in it. I'll need a lot for it, too. But it'll be okay...I think.
Places I want to see:
Rome
Venice
Paris
Barcelona
Madrid
London
Places Lyssa wants to see:
Germany
Two weeks should be plenty time to cover this, right? I mean, it is a lot of ground, but...yes. It should be plenty of time. 2-3 days per country (more emphasis on Spain and Germany than anything). Land in Germany, spend 3 days there going about to whatever Lyssa wants to see (I think going to memorial sites for concentration camps could be chill). Hop on a train, head to Paris. Spend a day or two exploring (I'll make Kerrie tell me where to go), then hop on another train to Madrid. Spend a day or two there, go down to Barcelona and spend a day or so there. Hop another train and go to Italy. See Venice one day, Rome another. Hop a plane to London and see the sites that we want to see there. Go to Scotland (to visit a friend :D) and then fly home. That could work, right?
