Just one more rant to pretend that I’m learning

Poetic schematics have never been simpler

Swallow your heart, breath, embark on a journey

That starts on a whim and then ends in a whimper

They stamped hands to let us in life’s little show

Soon after we’d see signs that state NO RE-ENTRY

We’re delicate creatures, life’s not fair, we know

Let’s just hope on descent that we’re all let down gently

A light year, a decade, a leap year, an instant

My mind has declared time the daughter of distance

So Ill keep on forgiving but never forget

Still I keep on reliving but never regret

And the friends that now fall all in all were just angels

When fate found the need they’d appeared heaven sent

You’re far better off to stick close to your morals

But waste all your time seeking sins to repent

We are all filled with greed and materialistic

But hey now we’re grown lets get more realistic

The sense that you’re lost makes me tense if these thoughts keep persisting I fear that I may go Ballistic

But still it’s all fuel for artistic creation

These words are irrelevant reflective notations

I can’t see the future but learn from the past

I can’t keep a balance, fall flat on my ass

Now you’re missed and you’re missing

We used to be tight

We were warriors braving the darkest of nights

Now we’re nothing, like that, flash, the moment is gone

You’re now coal to a pyre of sorrowful songs

I’d hold on but my grip slipped, the weight was too great for these shoulders to handle

I blew out the candle now no guiding light left to call your return

Falling fast through sky as the atmosphere burns you to nothing

You’re hunting for moments of yesterday

Can’t you see the time has passed

For reckless kids to run and play
