The Chicagoland Bike Federation (a rival club) asked me to forward this message to the Rat list. I guess they're afraid if we wear our colors, there might be a rumble . . . I WANNA RUMBLE ALREADY NO ONE I MEAN NO ONE ASKS ME TO PUT MY COLORS DOWN CAPISH
Yes--CBF has a float in the St. Ratrick's Day parade, and I think freekbikes and parades are a great combo. However, please understand that this is the Chicagoland Bicycle Federation parade--you are welcome to join us as CBF members to be positive about biking. YEAH MAYBE SOME PF THE POSER RATS ON SHORTBIKES MIGHT DO THAT BUT NOT ME FREAK BIKES AND PARADES YES, FREAK BIKES AND SHORT BIKES,NO
I am CBF's volunteer lawyer and I don't want anything to jepardize CBF's status as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Also, to keep the message as tight as possible and prevent confusion, please don't wear your Rat Patrol jackets. This is a much more family-oriented parade than PRIDE, and we want to appeal to our audience. CBF has a good message and we'd love for you to help us spread it.
