WHOO! You have no idea how elated I was to see an update! And yes, I agree totally with what you said about Christmas in this. That's why I, personally, see 'Christmas' as something special despite being a pagan; because it was originally a pagan festival, the Winter Solstice, Yuletide etc. Not that Hindus celebrate any winter festival (Vaikuntha-ekathesi doesn't count, it could come in either December or January, it's for a certain God and not to mark the season, and we don't really have winter in South India, or Singapore, where I live, anyway, just rain). But I've always loved those ancient, 'pagan' religions. And I'm always amused when people start talking about Jesus being born in December and the Virgin Mary and the Nativity plays because I know very well they just pushed it up to coincide with the pagan winter festival, and my dad and I exchange looks and grin. Anyway, enough rambling
( ... )
About time, I waited impatiently throughout December, lol! But I'm not complaining, this update more than makes up for it. :D
I want Gabs and Crowls to get their act together... they're incredibly sweet and realistic in their slightly fearful, uptight blundering... but they would be even sweeter while, say, snogging each other silly? x)
Another lovely chapter, I adore the writing style and characterizations in this. ^^
The ending was so sweet and so sad! The line 'Take damn good care of this' was wonderful. Poor Crowley. I liked how the plant was mentioned in both the beginning and the ending, by the way. It tied the story together nicely.
I love how you showed the tension between them in this one. I'm just hoping that all that tension will be... released.

In a constructive way.
