Match It For Pratchett

I'm sure most of you have heard about this through Neil's blog or some other source, but in case you haven't, here goes.

A few days ago, Terry Pratchett donated half a million pounds(about $1 million) to Alzheimer's research. Fans have set up a website, Match It For Pratchett, with, as one would assume, the goal of matching Terry's donation. The site is selling t-shirts, and has a virtual donation jar, along with links telling you how to donate directly to both UK and US Alzheimer's charities.

Also, if you have much more money than myself, and are a fan of Discworld, you can bid on a replica of "The Luggage", and all the money raised will go to the Alzheimer's Research Trust.

And here's a link to the Sun article Terry wrote about his disease, which is very lovely, and still has all of his wit, despite the very serious subject matter.

charity, terry pratchett, get-well gifts, our canon has two daddies
