Crowley the trickster?

I was surfing around for information on Norse Gods and happened to find this in an essay about Loki:

Sometimes the trickster interferes with creation, and gives it a direction not anticipated, such as Raven giving light and Prometheus giving fire to humanity. This may have even been the original rôle of the Serpent of Eden, before that figure was merged with Satan, by giving knowledge and freedom to humanity.

So Crowley the trickster? He certainly didn't expect his mischeif to have as huge consequences as it did, but the same is quite often true for Loki as well and somehow I can picture Crowley in Loki's shoues more easily than in Lucifer's.
