tea_and_snark, who ages ago asked me to write something lighthearted featuring Newt/Anathema. It also contains Shadwell/Madam Tracy and rather suggestive intimations of Crowley/Aziraphale. Probably rated PG13 for sexual suggestion.

So Much For A Quiet Night In )

“Are you sure you don’t need any help?” asked Newt. His face was filled with so much eager helpfulness that Anathema almost felt her resolve crumble; but no, the incident with the NASA satellite and the visit from the men from MI5 who wanted to find exactly why that nuclear submarine really had been rerouted had been the final straws, there were just some household tasks that Anathema had to insist on doing herself.
...but it was just one of the first in a whole story full of charming, hilarious moments - grand! Thanks so much!

I think that for Anathema, living with Newt must involve a constant battle against the onset of techological catastrophy (or at the very least a fight to keep him out of the emergency room at the nearest hospital).

I suspect that embarrassment, contact or otherwise, is something that happens to those around Newt very frequently.

Oh gods, how will they ever find a moment's peace with acquaintances like these?
*Envisions their night being further disturbed by a worried teenage Wensley and Pepper desperately seeking advice as to what to do about Brian's latest experiment with home made hallucinogens*
I suspect that Newt and Anathema may start strongly considering the idea of secretly booking a very long holiday abroard.
