This is not the flame you're looking for.

I loved "Twofish" too. But I also agree with irisbleu that their humanity -- or rather, their dual nature--IS kind of the point of the book! Considering how we see them being silly drunk and putting on a few extra pounds due to fondness for desserts and sleeping through an entire century (except getting up once to use the lavatory), I don't think doing sexual things in a very physical human way is a particularly big leap.

Of course, considering they can also do things like hide or manifest wings as they choose, possess people, change shape, and travel through telephone lines, really inventive weird!sex is not exactly out of the question either.

And I don't consider fetishes or kinks or anything like that to be inherently OOC either; they've sure had enough time to develop some oddities, and that cliche about what the most repressed ones are sometimes like in private has, in my experience, quite a grain of truth to it. But obviously, mileage varies vastly on that point.

They're full of paradox--the human and the ethereal, the free will they very definitely do have versus all the lore that says they shouldn't. The whole book is like that, that's kind of what it's about. You've got to get that balance in there. (Just for my personal taste, I think if there are Consequences, they ought to be funny.)

But yeah. Most of what I write in every fandom out with me thinking, "I'd like to read a story like X...hmm, there doesn't seem to be much like it out there...guess I have to do it." That's much more productive than bitching at the people who write stuff you don't like.
