More on GO Library move to AO3
Dear Authors,
Importing The Good Omens Library to AO3 has begun, and I am very excited to be saving this collection for posterity! :)
However, we’ve discovered a glitch in the Library software which created a punctuation error affecting nearly all stories. I’m doing as much individual editing as I can, but until that’s done the imported fics will contain a note to readers explaining the punctuation issues.
So if I can, I’d like to ask your help in making this transfer smoother.
You will need an AO3 account for this. If you don’t already have one, email me at quantum-witch[at]outlook.com for an invitation code.
There are two ways you can help:
1) Add your stories on AO3 into the GOL collection (individually or in a group),
2) Or, Import them from the Library and edit them afterward.
Here are the procedures for both Mass-Uploading through AO3 and Manual Importing Through URLs.
Mass-Uploading through AO3
1. While logged into your AO3 account, hover over your pseud and select “My Works”.
2. From that page, click “Edit Works” (to mass edit works).
3. Select all the story titles that you want to transfer into the collection.
4. Click “Edit”.
5. In the second section of this page is the option to “Add To Collections”. Type in "The Good Omens Library" and it should be appear in the autofill (don’t change anything else, or it will overwrite what was originally on the story).
6. Click “Update All Works” at the bottom.

Manual Importing Through URLs
NOTE: You will need to edit your stories afterward to correct the punctuation errors if you use this method.
1. While logged into your AO3 account, hover over “Post” and select “Import Work”.
2. On that page, copy and paste up to 25 of them into the field “URLs” (only one URL per line).
3. In the next section, select the appropriate Rating and applicable Archive Warnings. (This selection will be applied to all stories imported in this batch, but you can individually alter the story drafts after import.) Click on the help menus (the “?” button) for clarification on AO3’s ratings and warnings. If you are unsure of the appropriate warning(s), select “Choose Not to Use Archive Warnings”.
4. In "Fandoms", begin typing "Good Omens"-- it should autofill with "Good Omens - Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett". You can add crossover fandom(s) if any.
5. If desired, fill out the other fields as needed. Click on the help menus (the “?” button) for clarification on these fields.
6. Hit “Import”.
7. On the next page will be links to all the drafts you have created. Each draft will only be saved for seven (7) days, so please edit and post the drafts within this time period.
8. You can now edit the drafts individually by clicking on the link and then the “Edit” button at the bottom of the draft preview page. (There are many more options to tailor the story -- editing the notes, adding it to a collection, backdating, etc.)
