Desperately need help with the Good Omens Library

Jun 27, 2012 13:18

Here's the story:
When the Good Omens Library was first started, the domain name was registered through a "proxy". Then I took over, but I can't access the proxy without codes that I don't have, and which the original owner doesn't have either. Which means I cannot unlock the site and move it elsewhere. So I'm stuck paying a host site that I really really REALLY dislike, just for the sake of keeping the library operating these last seven years.
What I'd love to do, ideally, is just move the archive to another host and start over. I've purchased the domain name "good-omens.net" as the new potential home, and will let “good-omens.com” expire to escape the crappy host site.

However, I am utterly clueless as to how to upload the fan archive software program, so this is where you guys come in. If ANYONE knows the system eFiction or is willing to learn it very quickly, I'll give you full access to the new site and we can start over.

However, if no one can help me, the site MAY BE SHUTTING DOWN in around a month. The domain expires completely AUGUST 26th and I'm not willing to renew it through the current host site, unless absolutely forced. If I get no takers, I might turn it all over to Open Doors and hope to god they can handle it before it’s gone.

Help me save this Library. I'm willing to front the money, already have done so. All I need it someone to do the TECHNICAL crap, and fast.
