OOC: Characters In A Nutshell
Note that at the current time, Xehanort doesn't know anything about who's what so much: he's still effectively in the middle of 'his first game'.
How everyone's the right age? Uhm. Sleeping Beauty shenanigans and a certain amount of A Wizard Did It, though I'm trying to minimize that factor.
The Good Guys:
* Dilan:
One of the main fighters of the apprentice team, and very interested in what the different worlds bring. Big on the plans.
* Even: ars_scientia
The pure scientist of the group, and one of the leads of the old experiments. He's been taught self-defence and given a shield by Goofy.
* Aeleus:
As the ex-guard with the weapon the closest style to Xehanort's own, he's been largely responsible for the boy's training.
* Ienzo: (x_roadnot_taken [inactive/dropped])
Xeha's brother by adoption. They were responsible for bringing each other out of their shells, rather than the shocked amnesiac and near-mute apprentice they started out as... he was given a book of magic by Donald, and is studying spells intently.
* Donald and Goofy: Sent on a mission to find Ansem, they've only found his sons and apprentices... well. It'll have to do. They act as Mission Control for the group.
* The King:
... There is not a lot to say differently about him here.
* Isa: supposedtolie
Spirited away from Radiant Garden when it fell, he's been living in a very different world... or was until Xeha and his crew arrived.
* Lea:
A friend of Isa's. They're helping in the search for others in their situation.
* Dulor:
A riverboat gambler, living his dream in Crescent City (New Orleans, PatF), but the arrival of the Heartless one Mardi Gras spoiled his idyll... he's joined the crew for the promise of adventure.

Neutral/Switching:
* Braig: youstillneedme
While a friend of Xeha and the others, his loyalty's still at least in part to the old Master, who he's still trying to awaken within the boy's heart... he's conflicted, though.
* Riku: existanceindawn
Once selected by Terra as a keybearer, he both wants to help the friend of Kairi who wants to help her (and who he somewhat knows for what he is), and follow her path at the same time... he later sees what side he should be on.
* Eraqus:
The original Nobody, rather than dying. His heart's somewhere very close to home. Never bothered with the X in his name as that's kind of a Xeha-thing.
* Xion:
Created as 'just a puppet' by Aqua and DiZ, used to infiltrate and manipulate the team, but grows more and more sentience and independence over time: both through her interaction with the group, and Aqua's subconsciously imposing traits of a lost friend onto her...

The Bad Guys:
* Maleficent:
Not much needs saying about her. Radiant Garden is her fault here.
* The Disney Villain Crew:
Same as ever. Want darkness for their own ends.
* Kairi: (theirprincess) [not introduced]
'Adopted' by the Heartless in Radiant Garden: their princess, but not one of them. Brought them to Destiny Island.
* Sora:
Kairi's friend and protector, for one, introduced to the secret of the darkness... but with it already inside him to be accepted - the last remnants of Vanitas. And inside him, it just gets stronger...
* Aqua: (stormytides)
Her exile in the dark realm hit her hard: now, she just doesn't want to see another isolated as she was. Even if that means the two realms must be merged. All worlds, all hearts, all as one... so no-one can ever be alone again. Note, though, that she's still light...
* DiZ:
Again, driven wild by the darkness, taking it into himself in a way further than he would have otherwise. Driven insane. Just as against Nobodies as ever - but when there's no Organization, what does this mean?
