Hello everyone,
I will be doing the "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" Walk at the DCR Hatch Memorial Shell in Boston on Sunday October 14 starting at 8AM.
As many of you know, my family has a very long history battling cancer. This walk may be to find a cure fro breast cancer, but any cure for cancer helps protect my family from a certainly terrible end. My mother is a cancer survivor, and some of my aunts have also suffered from cancer. I've lost 2 grandparents to it, and I refuse to watch any more wither away without at least trying to find the cure.
Kevin will of course be walking with me. He has his own stories to tell of his family and cancer. We are both very proud to do this walk, and we're hoping for everone's support!
What we need is donations to our cause. I won't demand anything from anyone, but if you'd like to make a contribution, I can either meet up with you and pick it up if you live nearby, or apparently there is an online payment form you can use as well to pay by credit card. I haven't read too far into it yet, but if people are interested I can post the link. On the plus (minus) side, you'd get to see me for a while if you want to contribute, and I know a lot of people want to see more (less) of me. I'm more than happy to drive on out and take your donations. I'll be making a contribution of my own as well.
Even if you don't have anything to donate, please feel free to leave your stories about your lives and your family's struggles with cancer. I'll be sure to walk for everyone I can.
Wish us luck!
