So
lilyofshalott has been poking me to update for a long, long time, and I figure I really should. Especially as I'm afraid I'll be kicked out of some of my favorite communities, which I really don't want. The sad thing is that there's nothing going on in my life that anyone would want to read about. I finished co-op in March and am back in classes until

I don't have much time to reply since I have Finals Craziness of DOOOOOM . . .
Sounds like you had a lovely weekend! You'll be happy to know I'm finally going to be watching Firefly--one of my friends has it and we'll be watching it after exams. Okay, the guy on the right (John Gallagher Jr.) really looks like someone we went to school with--I'm thinking maybe a younger Jon Ginn? It's uncanny.
I need to do work now--I didn't do anything at all yesterday (apart from feeding spiders, but that wasn't helpful finals-wise). ::headdesk::

And speaking of new fandoms, I still haven't mailed the DVDs I promised you... sorry. Blame it on midterms angst. I also had the hardest time finding something to send them in, and finally resorted to the ghetto method of shoving as many discs as possible into a jewel case. I promise I'll get them out tomorrow. I still just use the university's address, yes?
John Gallagher does kind of look like Jon in that picture, I hadn't even noticed! I think it's the smile. The resemblance isn't so apparent in real life. Hmm... this makes me kind of homesick for our hometown theatre group. I miss doing shows with Jon and Bilder and Kara and Josh and Kristy and that whole crowd. :(

They actually just changed that--now it takes longer (it's very silly):
1858 Weber Way, Box 1631
Susquehanna University
Selingsgrove, PA 17870
(and the really silly thing is that I don't think there actually is a Weber Way)
So did you see yesterday's DW? (I have a few theories.) The trailer for the next episode=SQUEE!
And G-Girl and I are definitely talking about Who on AIM right now. (She's midway through Nine's season.) Erin and I are still at the begining of Ten's episodes--I think our next one is School Reunion (Sarah Jane!)

The trailer at the end was amazing. Part of the reason I want you to watch Life on Mars so badly is a character that's coming up in Who. Of course, I'm not helping by keeping your discs hostage. That will be fixed tomorrow, thanks for the new address!
And yes, watch Serenity, but by all means WATCH FIREFLY FIRST! This is law.

David Tennant in a tux jumping out of an exploding Mad Scientist lab? Hello.
So I kind of have a theory of who this mysterious Mr Saxon might be. Although this might be more of a "wishful thinking/that would be Awesome" kind of thing.
Yay, new fandoms! ^_^ Yeah, Erin said as much about Firefly/Serenity.
Oh, and do you have any suggestions for TARDIS yarn? This in Admiral looks like it might be perfect--if it's actually that colour "in person" so to say. I'm thinking if I can't find anything at the craft store here I might beg my parents to stop at A.C. Moore on the way home next Sunday (Already? GAH!).

That Bernat yarn looks pretty good. I actually have a confession. I was going to buy you TARDIS yarn and mail it with the DVDs, but when I went to my LYS, they didn't have the color I wanted... sorry. This yarn was the kind I was trying for, in color 517, or maybe 598. 133 was the best that I could find in person, and that is actually a really, really bright blue. I've never actually worked with this yarn, but I've seen samples knit up with it, and it's very soft. This online yarn store is my favorite, by the way, and having great sales right now.
And you only have a week left? Of your entire college career!?! *seethes*

(Really? Aww, thanks!) Ooh, those are pretty. It seems they're out of 517 on the site, though (598 looks promising as well). I think I'll check to see if they have this at the craft store--I'm a bit wary of buying yarn online if I don't know what it looks like/feels like in person (because colours are often not quite right). How long do things from this site usually take to ship?
(I may be going to grad school--just not right away). Technically, I'll be "done" earlier than that--the last day of finals is Tuesday.

1. Converting other people to DW, are you? I'm so proud!
2. Yay you're watching Firefly! I trust you watched the "real" pilot episode, not the one that FOX showed when it aired on TV. It just gets better from here. Man, I love this show so much, I need to watch it again. If only stupid school would give me some breathing room. And you see why I was so excited to meet Alan (Wash) and Nathan (Mal) last weekend.
3. Of course Kaylee is adorable, that's why I picked her for you in the character meme.
4. I think we've edged you into the full-blown Sci-Fi geek territory. Mwahaha. It's just a matter of time until you succumb to the Heroes push. I wonder if I could get you addicted to Battlestar Galactica too. Hmm.
5. Webs is really quite quick. I usually have orders from them in about a week. I can understand wanting to see the yarn in person, though. I've never been unpleasantly surprised with the colors I get from online orders, but they're definitely not ( ... )

Anyway, what are your opinions on Caron SimplySoft? I picked some up in Country Blue and Dark Country Blue, promptly thought they didn't work for a TARDIS when I got home, and haven't gotten around to returning them yet. Now that I look at it, though, the Dark Country Blue looks like it might work. It's not quite as dark as it is in the Jo-Ann's picture, but it is more of a navy than a cobalt.
I'm awaiting my stitch theory--it's not too difficult, is it?

Just to let you know: LoM, RH, the Austens, and various other odds and ends have to be played on a computer, but all the HH movies should be watchable in any DVD player. Hope you enjoy!
