today was a good day. i love sarah charipar. none of you know who that is. lol. she's my voice teacher and she's so effing amazing! She's like my teacher for life. i don't think ive honestly learned anything about my voice in that class but i sure as hell know what not to do in auditions. lol. she's so funny. Voice class was a lot of fun today. I just love tuesdays and thursdays cause i get to spend all day just hangin out with my friends. we all have the same two classes back to back and we always go out to lunch together. good times. we did pair led warm ups in class today, and we got to play big booty. it was awesome. then in acting, my friend ashley and i got assigned a scene together. the play is called Manhatten Women and we read through it today and it was hillarious! We decided on a scene but then we couldn't decide which character we each wanted to play cause we both loved both of the characters the same amount and for the same reasons. it was hilarious. so finally we came to a decision. my character is this sedistic bitchy kinda girl who's bitter because the only men that date her are gay men. i have this whole monologue about being a "fag hag". it is so funny.
basa basa rehearsal was good today too. im just kinda frustrated with that show cause it feels like were never learning anything new and the show is like half done and we perform our first workshop in like 2 weeks. like our dance rehearsals we spend 2 hours warming up and doing random combinations and spend like 20 minutes actually doing show choreography. but today was a singing rehearsal. singing for the show is so hard cause we have no sheet music to work with which is totally foreign to me. its really good for me though cause im learning a lot and my ear so much better trained now. i was so horrible 2 weeks ago. i felt so incompetent as a singer, but now im putting together harmonies on my own and helping ppl find their notes. i feel special. its cool cause since the show is original and still in working progress, were writing the show and the songs and the harmonies as we go. it feels really good when i can figure out my harmonizing note from the melody. ive never been able to do that. and kai, the director, pulled me to the side today just to tell me that she thought i was doing a terrific job which was awesome cause she's kind of a hard ass and she doesn't say shit like that unless she really means it.
now, im back in my dorm avoiding work, the usual. lol. i do have to read through a pinter play that im doing a scene from though. tomorrow i just have movement class though so nothing needs to be done right away. i may actually get to bed early today though. woohoo! i love sleep. k, imma go. i have nothing to talk about anymore. i love comments. (wink*) lol.
loves ya all!
peace and cheetos to you!
